Dragon Con with over 80,000+ people I quickly realized that staying at the Marriot Marquis in downtown Atlanta is also Elevator Con, sometimes taking 30 minutes just to get into an elevator, especially with everyone in costumes! Lack of sleep also seems to be a common trend during the weekend, and I'll tell you it's all worth it.

Dragon Con is held every year over Labor Day weekend and has been the biggest geekiest convention I've ever been too! The entire downtown gets into the Dragon Con Festivities, including some amazing costumes! Be pared to do some walking, the convention is not just in one hotel, so keep that in mind when planning any big costumes project you want to bring for future Dragon Con.
Panels and Workshops, oh my! There were panels and workshops running 24/7 with everything from costuming, electronics, fantasy literature, film, high fantasy, paranormal, science fiction, puppetry, gaming, tabletop, arcade, pinball, robotics and maker, star wars, space(my favorite being the "Expanse: Impossible Space Drive & Terraforming World", FX and makeup workshops and so much more! I've already purchased my membership for 2018 now just to start thinking of some new cosplay projects. Thanks for an amazing weekend with old friends and new, and geeky conversation with random people in cosplay! I can wait till next year!!
